For the Love of Writing…
The last time I wrote a blog post was 31st December 2025.
Yes. December 31st.
I wrote an entire end-of-year reflection titled “This Year Didn’t Go as Planned… But I’m Ending It With More Understanding Than Answers.”
Very reflective. Very intentional. Very I have learned so much this year.
And then 2026 said, “Oh really? Let’s see about that.”
Fast forward nine months, and here I am.
I wish I could say I had some dramatic reason for disappearing, but honestly, life just… happened.
Things got busy. Priorities changed. There were things to figure out, responsibilities to deal with, and moments when I simply didn’t have the energy to sit down and turn my thoughts into words.
And without even realizing it, I stopped writing.
The funny thing is, I never stopped loving it.
I just stopped making time for it.
I kept thinking, I’ll write when things calm down.
I’ll write when I have something interesting to say.
I’ll write when I feel inspired.
I’ll write when life makes sense.
Well… life is still not making complete sense, so apparently we can’t wait for that.
And sitting here writing this, I realized how much I missed it.
There is something about writing that I can’t quite explain. Sometimes I don’t even know what I’m feeling until I start typing. I can begin with one random thought and somehow end up understanding myself a little better.
Writing has always been that space for me.
A place to think.
A place to breathe.
A place to be completely honest with myself.
And somewhere along the way, while trying to keep up with everything else, I forgot how much I needed that space.
Maybe that’s something we do too often.
We get busy with life and slowly let go of the things we love.
The things that make us happy.
The things that make us feel like ourselves.
We tell ourselves we’ll come back to them when life gets easier.
But what if life doesn’t get easier?
What if we simply need to learn how to make room for the things that matter while life is happening?
For me, that thing is writing.
And maybe this post isn’t just a comeback.
Maybe it’s a little reminder to myself to hold on to the things I love, even when everything else feels overwhelming.
Because sometimes, finding your way back to something you love is also a way of finding your way back to yourself.
So… hello again.
I missed you.
I missed writing.
And apparently, my blog missed me too because I’m pretty sure it was starting to wonder whether I had passed away.
I’m not promising weekly posts. Let’s not put that kind of pressure on me.
I’m simply promising to write when I can, to make room for it again, and to remember why I started in the first place.
For the love of writing.
That’s enough reason to begin again.
